Nutter & Associates was contracted to assist the land owners of a Ware County Mitigation Bank to re-establish compliance requirements per Interagency Review Team (IRT) concerns.  As a part of the project, twelve groundwater monitoring wells and one stream stage recorder were installed on a large wetland system adjacent to the Satilla River.  Channel and valley cross-sectional surveys, soil evaluations, and assessment of previously implemented hydrologic restoration measures were conducted to satisfy IRT comments and recommendations.  Additional observations were made during a winter 2012 flood event of the Satilla River to assess floodplain hydrology and flow paths during out of bank flood events.
